What coaches say, what they do, and how they make athletes feel will often be remembered long after their playing days are over. Coaches often take on the role of an authority figure whose influence on young people helps shape their value systems and impacts the trajectory of their lives. Coaches have an extremely powerful platform because of the cultural influence of sports.
