Mark has over 30 years of experience in education, with 26 years dedicated to serving as an athletic/activities director. He is currently in his 7th year at Carthage High School in Missouri, following leadership roles as district athletic director for Rogers (AR) Public Schools and Oklahoma City (OK) Public Schools. Mark has also served as an athletic director at Liberty High School in the Kansas City metro area and Willard High School in Southwest Missouri.

His professional honors include serving on the MSHSAA Appeals Committee, acting as a field supervisor for University of Arkansas Sports Management interns, and being a recipient of the AHSAAA Distinguished Service Award. He has represented Section 6 on the NIAAA Board of Directors and was honored with the Frank Kovaleski Professional Development Award in Arkansas. He has also been a guest speaker for the University of Arkansas Coaching Principles course and earned recognition as Athletic Director of the Year for the 7A West Conference. Additionally, Mark contributes to professional development as part of the AHSAAA Athletic Director Faculty, leading LTI courses for fellow athletic directors.

Mark holds an Educational Specialist degree from Missouri State University, and both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Harding University. He is a lifetime member of the NIAAA and an active member of the MIAAA.

In addition to his work in the field, Mark serves as an adjunct instructor in the Athletics/Activities Administration master’s program at William Woods University. He has also taught graduate-level courses for the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville and Ohio University.
