In the spring of 2015, Sue Ramsey retired from an illustrious 35 year coaching career. For the past 20 years she has served Ashland University as their Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Coach Ramsey’s final record as a head coach is 501-364 (.579). The 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons were particularly memorable as the Eagles won the Division II national title (2013) and finished as the Division II national runner-up (2012). AU’s record over those two seasons was 70-3 (.959). Coach Ramsey was named the 2012 GLIAC, Regional and NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year. That same year she was inducted into Miami University’s prestigious Cradle of Coaches.

Coach Ramsey has also been recognized for her commitment to the total development of the athletes and coaches in her care. In 2011, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes presented her with Kay Yow Heart of a Champion Award. In 2013, she was inducted into Athlete’s In Actions Hall of Faith. And this past spring she became the first female recognized as the 2015 FCA’s Ohio Sports Legend.

As Sue begins this next chapter of her journey, her focus will be to share her life experiences with others to inspire, encourage and motivate them to fulfill their God-given purpose with joy, humility and gratitude.
