I for sure would recommend this course to other coaches.I learned there is a lot more to being a successful coach than just having good athletes.

It got me to think more deeply about why I am in coaching and what I want the kids to get out of being in my program. I especially like the specific ideas on things we can do with our athletes to develop those qualities. I recommend this to other coaches because I want as many great coaches out there as possible and this is the best way to get there.

The course makes you really take a look at yourself as a teacher, coach, and overall as a person. It makes you look deep inside and brings out some things that have been put away for some time. The more coaches we can get doing this, the better for our nation. It brings to light some ugly characteristics about our society and how we can deal with and eventually get rid of them with all on board. I absolutely recommend it to other coaches.

The course was very thought provoking. It made me think more about the why behind what I do. It also created a time for reflection. Am I doing things in my program that are impacting ALL my players in a positive way? I kept back to this question often. I would recommend this course to other coaches! I believe that all coaches need to spend some time looking at the things that we do that influence our athletes. All athletes have room for growth in these areas.

It was a very rough year for me as a head coach to go from 3 wins to 0. I needed to get back to my roots of focusing on the players and separate myself from the people who only expect wins. This class put me back on the path of why I started coaching in the first place and gave me more to work with in my tool box. A lot of things I am already doing but to have more opportunities and ideas to shape the lives of young men is going to be huge for my program. Thanks!

I would recommend this course. Sometimes we do not start the inward journey of why we coach or the way we do. This course and book really brought clarity to why and how I coach.

This course reaffirms some things I was already doing, and gives me some good ideas to implement. I'd recommend this course to other coaches anytime you can learn about your profession and how to better reach kids, you make yourself a better leader and role model for them.

It is vitally important to evaluate why we coach and this course provides a great framework for systematic evaluation. The new ideas and practical third dimensions strategies to incorporate with my teams was the most valuable part.

More coaches need to be aware of what kids are really looking for when they choose to participate in sports. I think everyone in our profession should be exposed to the 3D concept to help assure that everyone is in coaching for the right reasons.

It was valuable learning how to get to know the individual and working on coaching outside the 1st dimension. I would recommend this course to anyone that coaches, especially those that coach youth programs.

As a teacher and a coach it caused much introspective exploration in who I am and what I can do to better reach the students that I work with. The self-reflection was the most valuable part of taking this course.

This course really helped me take a look at how and why I coach. It reassured many things that we already do in the XC program and gave me ideas to help make it even better. I would recommend this course because it helps put a focus on what is truly important in coaching, our athletes growing as individuals.

The ability to reflect on my coaching philosophy from the 'inside-out' was the most valuable part of this course. I would recommend it because I believe it is a great way to examine the true lessons of sport and how they relate to success on and off the playing field. Coaches will be given the opportunity to truly have an impact with their athletes and truly go on a difference making journey of self and others.

The most valuable thing I got out of this course was being able to step back and think about my purpose in coaching and how my athletes feel being coached by me. I have already recommended this course to fellow coaches. I believe to truly make a difference to our athletes we need to coach in a way that gives life and does not tear down.

The videos, discussion groups, the book - all gave valuable insights and aided my reflection at how I have been a horrible coach up to this point!!!! Aggh! I'm ready to change! I would recommend this course other coaches. It is very needed.

This is the way I have always felt athletes should be coached but I don't think some coaches know 'how' to coach this way. This program helps coaches understand the importance of coaching the whole person and gives great, practical ways to do that with their own team. The concrete strategies for implementing 3D coaching methods into my own team were so valuable.

I would absolutely recommend this course! I learned a lot of incredibly useful information. If you are going to coach, and you're doing it for the right reasons, this is the place to have that strengthened and honed. The most valuable things I got were the strategies. I knew a lot of the concepts of 3D Coaching. It was nice to have a lot of that reaffirmed. Where I have always struggled is the how-to and the information I got here was invaluable.

What was most valuable? 1. The courageous conversations forged with my colleagues who have also taken the course or whose coaching approach aligns with other great organizations like the Positive Coaching Alliance. 2. Validation the path I have worked toward creating in my 23 year coaching career is closer to that of which is described in the course as well as my own vision of who I want to be for the kids.I would absolutely recommend this course! Absolutely! Reflective practice is key to building meaningful relationships within our academic classrooms and athletic areas. I enjoyed the entire process the course offered. However, while drafting my transformational purpose statement I pulled books by teachers/coaches (mostly basketball) whom I've read and studied in the past. I read snippets from John Wooden, Dick DeVenzio, Dean Smith, Mike Krzyzewski, Bob Knight, Pete Carril, Phil Jackson, Pat Summit, Pete Newell, Bo Ryan, Mark Few, Tony Dungy, Bill Walsh, and Robert Maurer, PhD. It was enlightening to reacquaint myself with their value driven tips and connect it with the what the course was offering me to consider at this stage of my career. I also appreciated the a semi-secular/semi-spiritual approach considering my belief system isn't centered around organized religion.

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this course to other coaches! The direct conversations about topics that students need to hear, think about, and be taught how to handle was so valuable. The videos that go along with the whole program are FANTASTIC! As coaches we have a platform to teach, what are usually strong individuals, that could affect the whole school!!
