Course Overview
This course was created in partnership between the 3D Institute. The completion of this course, prior to assuming duties as an athletic director or coach, fully satisfies the OSAA’s Interscholastic Coaching Course one-time requirement.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of OSAA’s requirement to coach in the state of OR

As a former college athlete, coaching always felt natural to me. I coached in my 20s and am now returning 25+ years later as a volunteer to give back to my community and find the joy in sports. I am a bit nervous about this because I'll need to brush up on the first dimension aspects. This course reminded me why I love coaching so much and it is all about dimensions two and three.
