Course Overview
This course was created in partnership between the 3D Institute. The completion of this course, prior to assuming duties as an athletic director or coach, fully satisfies the OSAA’s Interscholastic Coaching Course one-time requirement.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of OSAA’s requirement to coach in the state of OR
I liked all the emphasis on helping develop student athletes developing morals. Especially the part about giving the older student athletes the responsibility to look out for the younger student athletes.

Love the content. Wish it would include some perspective on the highly competitive type athletes/parents. We cannot pretend like they don't exist and that teams don't actually want them on the roster.

Good course with great insights and a very positive message. I planned to coach in this light, but now I have a proven framework and tools to help reach student athletes on a more meaningful level. I would recommend this course to any coach starting out or even as a refresher course to remember what we are "doing" as coaches.
