Course Overview
This course was created in partnership between the 3D Institute. The completion of this course, prior to assuming duties as an athletic director or coach, fully satisfies the OSAA’s Interscholastic Coaching Course one-time requirement.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of OSAA’s requirement to coach in the state of OR

It was pretty good and helped me learn how to improve.
The concept of coaching people not just the sport is one that’s so important but forgotten about a lot. This course really dives deep into what it really means to coach especially at the high school level!

Good course for sure. Does a great job outlining the importance of why the student/athletes mind is just as, if not, more important to develop during their adolescent years than their physical abilities. And while obviously the physical growth is important and will help them be good athletes, the principals and beliefs they learn as athletes will shape them into the person they will grow into as life goes on.
