Course Overview
This course was created in partnership with the Virginia High School League to satisfy the coaching principles portion of VHSL’s coaches education mandate.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of VHSL’s requirement to coach in the state of VA
This course was a bit long as an overview but I appreciated the concepts. I particularly liked hearing the stories from coaches about how they had changed their mindset on coaching and how it impacted their teams.
It was good. I liked the videos and the skill checks required me to know the content.
It was good. I liked that there was very little reading and mostly videos. The Knowledge checks were good and required me to know the content.

Better than I thought it would be.
I thought it gave a basic overview of coaching and some helpful pieces of advice but overall I think it was too long and couple be a lot more condensed.
