Course Overview
This course was created in partnership with the Virginia High School League to satisfy the coaching principles portion of VHSL’s coaches education mandate.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of VHSL’s requirement to coach in the state of VA

Great course. Surprisingly, a lot of what was taught I was already instinctively doing. However, there was information presented that was new and could be implemented intentionally with a plan, rather than relying on my instincts.
I truly enjoyed this course. It was good to see more application of the growth mindset... especially in sports.
This course was easy to follow and relevant to challenges we face as coaches today.
