This course was created in partnership with the Virginia High School League to satisfy the coaching principles portion of VHSL’s coaches education mandate.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of VHSL’s requirement to coach in the state of VA
I enjoyed this course because it made me realize that I was still using some outdated coaching methods. Now, I have a better understanding of effective coaching techniques. The course has also helped me to appreciate the personal side of my team more fully.

Quite good. Insightful. A bit of a shame to have to pay to learn to be a better coach for the benefit of our players. Particularly useful for coaches with little coaching education but even for those with that education, it was very good. Easy to maneuver, good ideas, long yes but clear
