Rule #66 in the benedictine tradition was they placed a "porter" at the gate to see and care for all the sojourners that came their way. Whether they needed food, water, first aid, a kind word, or whatever, these "porters" did their best to see that each person got what they needed. I believe this course teaches the same service. They loved and served their fellow man with everything they had. May we do the same.
