OSAA: Beyond the Scoreboard

It was a very in depth course that was very informative toward the more ill experienced and experienced coaches. Overall it is a good course that can remind you of what it was truly like to be a player and what they may be going through.

This course taught me many things that I hadn't thought of a whole lot in the past. I will use the elements in those moments that present themselves while I coach. The concept of having the well being of each player on our team as a high priority will have an impact on the entire team. This course was effective at showing how to use these tools. Of course, actually applying these tools in practice will be a learning experience for me and our players, but coaches should adhere to their mission and purpose and with experience, the tools and concepts presented in this course will shine through.
