Course Overview
This course was created in partnership between the 3D Institute. The completion of this course, prior to assuming duties as an athletic director or coach, fully satisfies the OSAA’s Interscholastic Coaching Course one-time requirement.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of OSAA’s requirement to coach in the state of OR

It’s a great learning experience and it opened my eyes to some teaching opportunities.
It was great. I tend to coach and parent in the second and third dimension and this gave me more insight into doing this better. It also validated what I think is most important about high school athletics which is building the whole person and creating a positive culture within the framework of a team.
This one course alone prepared me for my first season of being a coach and eased my anxiousness. I plan to take the full course as soon as I possibly can and go as far with it as I am allowed to. The Story of Impact made my hairs stand up and lit a fire in me that will be my driving force for a long time to come.
Very enlightening, really enjoyed the course and excited for the season!

As a new coach and parent of high school athletes, this was a great reminder of impactful 3- dimensional coaching can be.
