This course was created in partnership with the Virginia High School League to satisfy the coaching principles portion of VHSL’s coaches education mandate.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of VHSL’s requirement to coach in the state of VA
Liked the emphasis on responsibility and growth mindset. Both are items that are sorely missed in society at this time. We, as a nation, are too concerned with "rights" and forget "responsibility". In our teaching I've seen a sea change in those teachers that foster a growth mindset (you can always get better) and those that just get through the material (just memorize the material and I'll teach to the test).

I think this course was very informative and gave me a lot of insight on things I may not have normally realized or focused on. A lot of people think coaching is just baseline sports skills but this showed how much more it really is.

3D Institute's course for coaches does an eloquent job of having a coach look at his or her coaching method & style, & inspires you to add or improve on how much time & attention you are giving to the other two dimensions that each & every one of your players possess.
It’s find helpful for New, young or older coaches who are stuck in the past
This course provided insight into the other dimensions of coaching which are not always at the forefront when first entering into coaching. The second and third dimensions are incredibly important to address with the athletes and are too often overlooked. I have a better understanding of how to include training that focuses on building confidence and character and reinforcing a growth mindset in my athletes.
