I am not a sports coach but love sport! I am a founder of a ministry to help men / fathers understand their roles as it is crucial, especially here in South Africa, and got involved with a local school to mentor some young rugby players. Informational course that was easy to navigate.

I enjoyed the course, it was succinct yet insightful. I enjoy the part about performance and moral character and how "determined, disciplined, etc." can all be used for any group regardless of moral standards. Next season I would like to plan some group activities to bring the team together and help them build moral character like assisting at a homeless shelter or helping with toys for tots, etc.
I also really enjoyed the strategy video in the wrap up that spoke about handwritten letters. The two high school football coaches that sent me handwritten letters, one after we won state, and the other after I tore my ACL playing college football, always will stick with me in my heart and it is a strategy I want to implement as a coach.

The presenters were knowledgable and expressed care for their student athletes. I appreciated learning about how 3D coaching had transformed coaches. The examples of feedback using a growth mindset vs. fixed mindset were very powerful. I'll be more mindful of the feedback I'm providing student-athletes from now on. Thank you for this course.
