This course opens your mind up to deeper thinking in the coaching world. You may naturally coach in parts of the 2nd and 3rd dimension but now you can see why it works so well.

I am now in my 30th season as a coach and have a strong feeling that my coaching journey might be coming to an end. I don't know what the Lord has in mind for me, but I felt that this course might help me to still see and feel his hand at work in my professional life. Even though I've read the 3D Coaching book and have made attempts to implement its principles into to my coaching in the past, the ability to re-write a transformational purpose statement at the end of this course has helped to give me some strength and guidance for the season at hand. I appreciate the passion and wisdom that has gone into developing this course and pray that it will reach and impact many for years to come.

I really enjoyed this course. I think in the future, if it grows, make it sport specific for the option for students. The only thing is that more interactiveness while lecture is happening would be a great tool.

Just three years ago I had no intent to coach let alone becoming a head coach. Having helped coach a youth program as part of student athlete coaches giving back to build the program I was comfortable with just helping. I soon concluded that the other coaches not only didnt have experience playing the sport they were coaching but no experience coaching other than helping for a year or two with the current program. To add to it the head coach was over commited to other programs and state level youth programs and was looking to find a suitable replacement. I started making notes to what we should practice and how we should condition and that led to me being asked to take the team over. It started off well and great effort and improvement however my skills as a coach were from twenty years ago as a highschool student and more suited for highschool athelets and adult learning. Looking back I seen what this coures considers 3D coaching but didn't really acknowledge how and why. As I found training courses for myself and my assistant coaches I found this course and not only does it follow teachings of my professional life but what I was exposed to long ago. The intent is not only will the assistant coaches complete the sport specific certifications I have already mandated but also work their way to completing this course to ensure we are focused on the athletes developement not just in sport but in life. Our program is an investment in the future program not a sell out results now program. This course along with the parents training will be the cornerstone to guiding this program and rebuilding the community.

The course is heavily based in football culture and fundamental Christian values including a connection with FCA, if you share these values it is a good place to start. It lacks depth of thought from different non-traditional perspectives and does not offer training on how be accepting of differences in ideology and lifestyle

Very informative course on 3D Coaching. The modules presented through this course helped define the different dimensions used through this type of coaching. Having played sports my entire life, I understand the importance of bringing fundamentals, team and heart together to achieve the main goal. I think this course is great tool for new and developing coaches. I learned a lot of new things that I did not know beforehand.
