This course came at a time when I needed a reminder about what really matters and why I began to teach/coach in the first place. During this course the Lord confirmed that although I am do step down from a specific sport coaching position, I am certainly never to step down from my love of students and helping them succeed in life, even though as an "At Risk" teacher I rarely sees the longer lasting fruits of my labor. This course has taken what I have attempted to do as a Christ follower/educator, from day one, and given it more definition and detail that can keep me from getting distracted. No matter how much longer I am an educator, in this setting or another, I will keep my Transformational Purpose Statement at the forefront of all I do as a child of God, in my marriage, with my own children as well as the ones I am able to love on in all of life's encounters. The course is excellent! While geared primarily for the US sporting community the principles are clearly transferable and applicable to coaching in Scotland and the UK.
