opened my eyes to so many different scenarios. Also made me realize who I want to be as a coach.

There is no greater joy than being in the final stages of a sport, giving back. Section #27, Building Relationships, made me smile when I heard, "You love coaching. Don't just say it, let them see it." Each section of this course was informative and I am feeling prepared and motivated to provide a safe and fun space for the student/athletes.

I appreciate this course's approach and philosophy behind coaching and teaching student-athletes. Viewing our student-athletes as whole persons is easily overlooked. Coaches are human and can become myopic in solely focusing on results. This course was supportive is structuring thought processes and actions to take in order to get buy-in from players for the overall team goals as well as ensuring the human being they are growing into is considered and supported in healthy development. Especially the emphasis on mindset, emotional intelligence, the connections drawn between the language used and communication skills that foster fixed or growth mindsets. These are simple adjustments to how we communicate that can impact young people for their entire lives.

I thought it was a solid overview. I enjoyed the personal stories.

impactful but needs more engagement

This course was great and very informative.

Although I decided to take this course to become a Middle School Tack Coach, in the end I learned more about myself and became very mindful of the way I might project outward the children I hope to serve. And along the way I decided to make a number of changes, in hopes that I will inspire the children to live full out and become the highest and greatest version of themselves.

After 50 plus years of coaching, I was surprised how much I learned thru the 3D program. Thank you!
