Description
Ideally, coaches and parents should work together for the benefit of the athletes. Unfortunately, too often there are rifts in this relationship that create problems for all involved. This course is designed to create a coach and parent partnership that helps solidify team cohesion and ultimately helps the athletes flourish in all three dimensions.
Over the span of 23 modules, this course will guide you through the “Dynamic Model for Cultural Alignment.” Just as all four wheels on a car must be aligned for it to move forward with efficiency, coaches and parents must be aligned on all four “wheels” of this model: Purpose, Process, Roles, and Trust. Along the way, you will learn practical strategies to align each wheel.
Once alignment is obtained, everyone (players, coaches and parents) will benefit from a unified effort and the program will move forward in the right direction.

I approached this course from two viewpoints. The first was as a parent. This course helped me better understand and see some of the underlying situations that our coaches deal with. The second viewpoint is that as a staff member with FCA. This course is helpful to me as I communicate with coaches, athletes, AD's, principals and parents. This is a resource that I will definitely be sharing with those in my circle of influence.

This course confirms why we coach and also provides hope that it can be as enjoyable as we want as long as there is alignment with our parents. As an activities director, I hope to be able to use the content of this course to help our coaches, parents, and ultimately the students.

That is an amazing course. My context children come by they selves asking if they can be part of teams. Some Parents come later to see what is hapen in the field some time motivated by change behavior.
I like very much about comunications and that is the first thing I will implement.
