Too much of our preparation of what a coach or teacher centers around either the knowledge of a sport or a subject. It’s certainly important, but doesn’t begin to engage the learner or the teammate. Too little of our preparation to be a coach or teacher centers around tools for developing motivation, confidence and affective emotional growth. In 32 years of full time K12 education, I have never seen a training program with essential tools as the 3Dimensional program. If I only knew this in 1988.

Wow. I only did the Essentials course so I can back up my head coach but now I want to do the certification course. Tons and tons of great information and about 75% was new to me and the other 25% reinforced what I believed about coaching. This is the type of program that entire school coaching staffs need to do TOGETHER! This can change the culture of your athletics program and then filter into your school culture.

We are looking for the "Total Coach": The coach that has the technical ability the coach players right but the Coach how also have the ability to go beyond the 1st Dimension and make a lasting impact in the character of that player we coach!

This course is as practical as it is true - a reflection of today's coaching and today's youth. It's universality and adaptability is what makes it fit every sports program and the people responsible for bringing up student-athletes as great people who will lead productive lives.
I had many practical take-aways from this course that I am excited to apply at practices, such as the "spotlight" on a teammate and also much reinforcement that what i am doing is actually 2nd/3rd dimension stuff helping transform children's hearts through sports.
